The free-sanding masonry gable end orphaned from the main boiler plant is a bit of a mystery, but may have been part of the old plant. The stack itself is clearly a replacement, constructed of welded steel and sized for natural gas-fired boilers, so it likely dates from the 1970s or 80s, when the plant was converted from coal.
